Mr. Curran brings the education and experience from his thirty-two year career in the architectural, planning and engineering professions to his position as principal and founder of DAMIAN GERARD CURRAN ASSOCIATES. With distinct professional degrees in architecture and civil / structural engineering and separate licenses as an architect, structural engineer and civil engineer, Mr. Curran has been directly involved in the design, development and construction of project types ranging from high and low rise commercial office buildings, hospitals, hotels and shopping centers to college / university master planning, elementary school reconstruction, high school gymnasiums, churches, warehouse and distribution centers, parking structures, research centers, resource recovery facilities, detention facilities, marinas, residential subdivisions and apartments and condominiums. His unique combination of professional education and experience has formed the basis for the integration of the architectural, planning and engineering services offered by Damian Gerard Curran Associates. Mr. Curran has also served as an expert witness for various types of litigation requiring expertise in architecture, design and construction defect investigation, building structural systems, structural system analysis, site development / drainage design, waterproofing, materials evaluation and construction claims resolution. This litigation typically involved design and construction defects and other disputes related to condominiums, office buildings, zoning, storm water control, single family residences and land development / planning projects. Corporate Manager; Design, Construction and Real Estate

Directed and administered all nationwide corporate facilities design and construction programs as well as the corporate real estate development program. These programs included the national headquarters, 12 regional offices, 11 regional parts distribution centers, 6 ports and all regional offices for the Nissan Finance Company (NMAC) Annual operating budget: $8,000,000; annual capital improvement budget: $38,000,000; total facilities exceeded 2,100,000 sq. ft. and 670 acres.



Project Director, Land Planning Division / Head, Environmental Studies Group

Directed the professional staff of architects and engineers on major architectural/engineering and real estate development projects. Prepared proposals, negotiated contracts, established budgets/schedules and administered construction. Developed company-wide project control systems based upon computer generated data. Established the Environmental Studies Group and directed the preparation of environmental impact reports (EIR's) for all ACMA projects. Represented clients before zoning/planning commissions for EIR approvals, conditional use permits and zone changes.

Project Design Architect/Structural Design Engineer

Developed client criteria and detailed building programs and prepared schematics and preliminary architectural design concepts for large institutional, industrial and commercial developments. Prepared preliminary analyses and detailed structural designs on large commercial and industrial development projects. Experience covered all major building structural systems and materials including high-rise steel frames, pre-stressed post-tensioned concrete and flat plates.




Project Design Architect

Prepared schematic/preliminary architectural design concepts on major commercial hotel/casino and industrial developments.




Project Design Architect / Engineer

Responsible for the structural design/analysis and construction document development for major commercial, institutional and residential projects. Experience included primarily post-tensioned concrete parking structures and large wood frame apartment complexes over concrete subterranean parking garages.




Design Architect

Responsible for the development of schematic design documents and construction documents schools and commercial restaurant chain projects.
