DGCA provides its clients with architectural design solutions based upon form/function considerations, founded in a realistic, cost-conscious understanding of the client's needs. Architecture is the re-definition and articulation of existing space to assure the proper function of its new use. Our tools are our minds, the sum of our experience, the trained ability to visualize and the dexterity to communicate graphically what we 'see' in a particular site and its projected use.

Architecture is a specific building constructed on a specific site - architecture is not a set of drawings. Drawings are, however, the means of achieving the specific building on the specific site. Generally drawings are required by governmental authorities, but more importantly, drawings and specifications are the basis for all business relationships between the owner and his constructor.

Projects are most efficiently developed by sub-dividing the design process into small definable phases of work, each of which terminates at a specific "milestone" requiring client review and approval before continuing on. From the inception of a project, the drawings generated allow owner control of the aesthetic, functional and economic goals established by the owner/client.

DGCA places great emphasis on the careful integration of the building's structural, mechanical and electrical systems. This integration becomes very important, precluding the 'layering' of materials and costs. These necessary systems, when organized and incorporated into the original concept, do not require architectural embellishment or additional materials to hide them.
